Methi Malai Matar - Dry version (Low calorie)

Indian cuisine is the general term for the wide variety of cooking styles from India. Indian food is almost always prepared with fresh ingredients along with delicate mixtures of many different fresh and dried spices and the exact recipes often vary greatly from one household to the next. Everyone  has there own style to make different version of typical curries and Daal and also Roti, Paratha too.

The taste of every version of food have its own Joy, Like here I am trying to make low calorie version of very Popular North Indian, Punjabi recipe....Normally it made by paste of cashew nuts and loads of Fresh Cream, Wohaaaaa!!!! I don't like so much oily or so much calories in food....So decided to make low calorie version of this super delicious Curry....I haven't used cashew nuts, Very small amount of Cream and made it a lil dry curry....You wont believe the curry was so so delicious, You can definitely Enjoy this super delicious curry with any Paratha, naan or simple Roti too. I do find Methi (Fresh fenugreek) very rarely here in qatar, As i said it before in my previous post, Whenever I see methi in store, I just grab it, ulnless I am not going to make anything with methi, But I will surely keep it in my fridge for my mental satisfaction, that yes I have methi in my fridge...hahahaha...sounds So funny....But yes I do think like this ;)

Yesterday I was not in that mood to make anything with Methi...But the big problem is also that If I keep it in fridge for long time, They will loose the freshness of leaves...And Of course don't want this :) Initially I was thinking to make simple Aloo methi, Well, I am not so aloo methi lover.....Then just thinking of Methi malai matar, Ooooooo...Yes my mouth was literally watering, But By thinking of loads of cream and nuts paste, Very high in calorie and high in fat, I dropped the Idea, but at the same time, I thought we can make it low calorie, Low fat version too....yeah....So just kicked cashew nut paste out of the ingredient list and add very very less amount of Cream (Malai) and trust me this version was also soooooo good.....Enjoyed this so tempting version of Methi malai matar in dinner tonight and Hishu too loved it :) !!!! Happy happy happy ....Yipppeee!!!! Do try this low calorie version of Methi malai matar and stay healthy ;)

(Note: If you want to add water, you can add it according to how thick or dry you want the curry, I am not adding any water content in it, I love this lil dry sabzi). Turn off the Gas and your less in calorie Methi Matar Malai is ready.
